A graduate of Commerce, Shri Sajan Bansal, our Managing Director, incorporated Skipper investments Ltd. (later renamed to Skipper Steels ltd. And eventually Skipper Ltd) during the year 1981 as a small company making Hamilton Steel Poles for Telecom connectivity. Under his guidance, the company grew to be a leading Telecom poles and masts supplier in the 80’s and 90’s.
It was his vision and far-sightedness which led Skipper to venture into Power Transmission Towers and Poles in the early 2000’s. This laid the foundation for the Skipper to transform into one of World’s largest Tower and Pole manufacturing companies today. He has guided Skipper’s evolution beyond manufacturing into an integrated engineering solutions provider.
His vision transformed the company, ensuring that the Transmission Tower business was not just about products but about delivering comprehensive infrastructure solutions.

Under his leadership the company has grown into a multi-unit, multi-product organization, making world-class quality products which are exported to over 65 countries world-wide. It went on to diversify its portfolio ranging from engineering to polymer products and presently is a leader in transmission and polymer-based businesses.
In addition to this, Mr. Bansal has been deeply inspired by his late Father, Shri Sadhuram Bansal’s legacy and is actively involved in several social activities. He is the Trustee of Ekal Abhiyan Trust, a leading NGO for upliftment of tribal and remote villagers in the field of education, healthcare and skill development of youth. He is also one of the founding trustees of The Heritage School, Kolkata, and also a trustee of the Calcutta Pinjrapole Society. These and several other of his philanthropic initiatives are responsible for Skipper to be perceived as one of the most respected and responsible corporates in India.
